The book that I have read and will do my review over is titled "Operation Mincemeat".  A quick introduction into what the book is about is that it is a nonfiction story about how a dead body, along with some fake intelligence documents were able to trick the Nazis into changing their military position, allowing for the allies to gain a major victory in Sicily. Now that you know what it's about, it's time to get more in depth with the review.
"Operation Mincemeat" is a fantastic book that shows a side of World War II that is not commonly shown. It focuses more on the "behind the lines" story, but does so in a way that is still entertaining.  Along with that, the book is filled with details about every single thing and person. When a new character is introduced, the author goes a bit too far in the detail to where is is overdone, kind of off track, and a little boring.  That is pretty much my only problem with it.  Besides that though, this book is absolutely fantastic and shows an entertaining, true story that I am sure will keep the reader captivated right up to the the very end. Overall I would have to give "Operation Mincemeat" a score of four and a half out of five.
