Minecraft, a game we’ve probably all heard of. It's been around since 2013 and won countless awards including: game of the year, best family friendly game, best stand alone game, and much more. Its wide variety of options is what makes this game so interesting and why it still has over 91 million players worldwide after seven years. From the multitude of character choices to the hundreds of achievements that engorged gamers to keep playing it truly is a well put together game.

A big reason for the game's popularity is the availability to play anywhere with anyone. Minecraft is a cross platform game that allows you to play with your friend on a console like xbox when you are on your phone. This is a very convenient and enjoyable feature when you just need a break from reality and a dive into a virtual wonderland. However, while cross platform is a great feature, according to bloggers and wired magazines if your Minecraft is on mobile or anything other than PC you might not be able to experience all of the games wonders. All versions of minecraft besides Java are playing catch up. Constantly updating but still a step behind the gamers who play on their personal computer.

And while some games are praised for their realistic features there are few games who have the type of graphics minecraft does. With over one thousand colors used and found in game it’s colorful style is what will convince you to start playing. Another huge factor in the graphics aspect is the fact that MInecraft uses LWJGL 4k technology to portray a colorful realistic image on screen. This is the same type of tech that games like Call of Duty and Metro (who won 2019 most realistic game of the year) use all the time.

And finally you can't talk about minecraft without discussing its flexibility and family friendly concept. This is not a game of winners and losers. It’s a game where players have created a virtual world where anyone can do or build anything. You can play it for free on your phone or play on your own laptop or game console. It's practically on every platform you can find. It's a game that all ages and all people can play. There's even a color blind mode to help those who have a disability experience the wonders and fun of the game. There are new achievements added from time to time when the game gets sort of stale to encourage more people to keep playing. It is an overall and wonderful game.
