Reminiscing!
It's kinda funny how
no matter how much you've changed
you're still the one
always thought of
the way you once were.
And no matter how hard you try
to prove that you can fit in perfectly
you're still the outcast.
But hey i guess somebody has to be
and it's kinda funny how
no matter the time
it's all got the same circumference around
No matter how hard i try
no matter of anything
its all the same
Everywhere i go,
I'm pushed of to the side!
I'm pulled away by the shadows!
or someone new!
Everywhere I go
I'm always torn apart!
I'm always left out!
Always pushed away!
Always trying & succeeding
to push through the door
but i always end up
being kicked out to the curb!
And i would always just sit & watch the walls grow higher
Memories! Memories!
Just sittin' here Reminiscing!
I used to be a shy little turtle
Always hiding in the depth of my shell
But when i finally moved on
I broke outta my shell
But still even now
I'm still the shy turtle
still belittled
still left out
No one sees that my shell is now gone
No one the person I've become!
Everywhere i go,
I'm pushed of to the side!
I'm pulled away by the shadows!
or someone new!
Everywhere I go
I'm always torn apart!
I'm always left out!
Always pushed away!
Always trying & succeeding
to push through the door
but i always end up
being kicked out to the curb!
And i would always just sit & watch the walls grow higher
Memories! Memories!
Just sittin' here Reminiscing!
You left me outside
all the time
So i finally stood my ground
slammed the door shut behind me
then got lost
but found my way
And became the person you'd let stay
And I thought I'd give it another go
and I let you back in
But still even now that I'm like you
there's still that clear brick wall
I'm still the outcast of the group
Everywhere i go,
I'm pushed of to the side!
I'm pulled away by the shadows!
or someone new!
Everywhere I go
I'm always torn apart!
I'm always left out!
Always pushed away!
Always trying & succeeding
to push through the door
but i always end up
being kicked out to the curb!
And i would always just sit & watch the walls grow higher
Memories! Memories!
Just sittin' here Reminiscing!
You seem to reach out
and try to pull me back in through the door
But i guess you're not really trying
You're just acting
And i can't stop caring
Yea i gave up long ago
But thought I'd try again
But i tried to let go
after being re-rejected
Thought i moved on along
But all these Memories!
And Reminiscing!
I've realized for and unknown reason
I still care
and still get hurt
Even by the old memories of yesterday!
Everywhere i go,
I'm pushed of to the side!
I'm pulled away by the shadows!
or someone new!
Everywhere I go
I'm always torn apart!
I'm always left out!
Always pushed away!
Always trying & succeeding
to push through the door
but i always end up
being kicked out to the curb!
And i would always just sit & watch the walls grow higher
Memories! Memories!
Just sittin' here Reminiscing!
All these Memories! Memories!
And all this Reminiscing! Reminiscing!
it makes me cry
Guess I'll walk away
from all the pain
Wont slam the door this time
but just close it
ever so slightly
and lock it up tight
Wont turn back around this time
No not this time
No I'll keep on walking forward
And wont think of all the Memories! Memories!
And I'll stop reminiscing!
