"Eye'm Sorry" Doesn't Cut It
Now gather round and let me tell
the tale of Johnny Wise,
and how his sweet wife Annabelle,
did pluck out both his eyes.
And if I tell the story true,
and if I tell it clear,
there's not a mortal one of you
won't shriek in mortal fear.
Oh pretty little Annabelle,
she thought he loved her so,
but cheating men don't kiss and tell,
though wives, they always know.
She waited til the time was right,
when Dan was fast asleep,
and crept into her drawer at night,
while Danny counted sheep.
And from this drawer she took a knife,
it was a decent size.
She went ahead and took his life,
by gouging both his eyes.
Now let this be a lesson for
those men who have been shown
to always be a messin' with
women who aren't their own.

This poem is a fun Halloween poem which brought the serious matter of cheating and unfaithful relationships into a humerous light.
