Lost Hope
Clasping in my hand with much delight,
to the sight of my invite.
Dressed in variations of white,
with accents of blue light.
Arriving to the festival grand,
I was set to where the castle doors stand.
I joined in the celebration of peace demand,
of the ruler of this land.
Until the King's hand outstretched in awful fright,
I couldn't fathom the cause of the unseen sight.
Hope I carried here so bright,
taken by disappointment's bite.
Excusing myself against my will,
for I feared he was ill.

I wrote this based of an assignment in English, that we were to write journal entries of reactions to a mad king taking place of once good and great king.
I read over the journal entry and made this poem. Hope you enjoy, along with the amazing photo. That makes all my peices so much better.
