"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."

She runs through the snow.
She feels the sadness swell,
In her empty, lonely heart.

She runs back.
She is following her footprints.
She notices something different.
It fills her heart with joy.

Her footprints are not alone.

Everywhere she has been,
There has been a footprint.
Right next to hers.
She realizes she is not alone.

The snow connects them.
They have companionship.

The universe must be a teenage girl. So much darkness, so many stars.

Cool, but it seems too much like a faint echo of the worn-out poem "Footprints." I don't know if you've heard that one or not.
