The Girl Life
A girl must master the art of deception,
Learn how to put on her discrete masks,
To put on a show for a few at a time.
A girl must grow up being captivated by dress up,
Learn how to carefully apply her face,
To look approachable for the audience passing by.
A girl must never play the game publicly,
Never confront her problems face to face,
To whisper in the shadows of her friends.
To be a girl
Is to act
Then watch the aftermath
Unfold,
Until slowly
Light is brought to the shadows,
The masks are taken off,
And the face of hers is raw.
Exposed.
Her show had ended.
