Letter
I thought it happened overnight
That at once you awoke transfixed
Lost in the haze that befell you
Smoky gusts of selfishness
Insolence i hoped would disappear
I see now this was inevitable
Each day forming the incommunicable shell
that now encases you.
No semblance to the one I once knew.
Once loved.
Despite my resignation,
My dearest wish is for the destruction of this shell
To dissolve this seemingly permanent metamorphosis
Which has now also changed me.
