These are the words
Tattooed on my heart
Ever shifting
My abstract art
These are my tears
Enough to fill the sea
Written on these pages
It’s like therapy to me
This is my blood
Turned to black ink
Declaring to the world
What I really think
Thought, emotions, loves, and fears
That’s what poetry is to me
The keys to my shackles
My chance to be free
