Mask.
Everybody thinks they know you.
So they pour all of their problems on you.
You are happy to make them feel better.
Happy to oblige.
Tears in your eyes.
You hope you are safe.
You hide behind your mask of silence and laughter,
Hoping no one will see.
How do you stay so happy?
You must have a perfect life?
Shut up. You don't know anything.
At all.
You don't know what it's like to feel pain.
But you feel it everyday.
You don't understand hurt.
When it's the only way.
So you just laugh along with the crowd,
And fool yourself.
They think they have it so bad!
When they don't!
You are suffering, and they don't care,
because you fooled yourself,
Into thinking.
Your life is wonderful,
And your home is wonderland,
So isolated from the world,
Safe.
Or are you?
Hide behind your mask.
And fool yourself,
Because when you look in the mirror,
You see your mask and believe,
That it is you
