Envy
The way the wind blows threw her hair,
The way she walks and makes him stare,
I long to be that beautiful girl,
But I’m still all alone in this bittersweet world,
I pray to God that he takes her away,
Somewhere far, somewhere to stay,
I want them all to stare at me,
But I know that will never be,
I work my hardest to catch his eye,
But I’m too weak now, to even try,
He would walk right through me if he could,
Sometimes I felt as if he would,
I was transparent; like a glass door,
It made me weep and my heart sore,
I want that long, heart-warming kiss,
The kiss, she’ll get and the kiss, I’ll miss,
I long to be that beautiful girl,
But I’m still all alone in this bittersweet world.
