i am not

my heart cries
clearer tears than those from my eyes
my soul screams
louder than could ever come from my mouth
my life shatters
and is somehow now truer than ever
save me! i cry, and you reach out a hand
lazily
and i am not saved
hold me! i beg, and you pat my back,
absent minded,
and i am not held
love me! i plead, and you kiss my cheek,
eyes on her,
and i am not loved
