Injustices
In middle school many injustices occurred. A time I stood idly by was when I was in 8th grade. Jose an old friend of mine would always get bullied in the halls between passing periods.
Jose was a very shy kid at school. He would always be first in the lunch line. Everyone would always run in front of him to get lunch and push him out of the way. Watching people always cut him to get food made me feel bad for him and I wouldn’t do anything about it. Jose would wait minutes quietly for his turn to get his lunch and eat. He would never say anything to those who did cut him in line. Most of the time he wouldn’t have enough time to finish his lunch. As I waited for my turn in the line I could have said something to the ones that were rude enough to cut and push Jose, but instead I stood there like a pole.
During passing period, we were only able to carry binders around. Jose would be happily walking to his next class and a group of rude and ugly guys would stop Jose push him around and drop all his stuff on the floor. As I was watching, Jose’s face got red as a cherry. I was able to tell that he was nervous and scared and had no idea what to do. As the guys were walking away laughing, Jose picked up his stuff without saying anything back to the guys. While walking to class I watched everything happen and didn’t say anything. As everything occurred I just watched everything happen under my eyes. I felt bad for not helping out, I felt guilty.
In conclusion, an injustice occurs every day, ever since Jose I will not let that happen to anyone else. Middle school can be the worst experience for most people. It’s a time nobody would want to go back and go through it again.
