Do you remember when I told you that I was leaving?
You stopped and cried...
It was fake
Do you remember when I asked you if you would miss me?
You looked at me and nodded...
It was fake
Do you remember the phone call, the one that was
a cry of innocence?
I thought it was true...
It was fake
The final goodbye came as no surprise
I said I would miss you and you turned and hugged me
Without words, you asked me if we were still friends
I looked at you and nodded in silence
That was fake.
