Lost Words
The walls where a bleak grey. Everything had lost color to him since he got the news. A plant sat dying in the corner; no water had been brought to it in a week. It added to the sense of loss that floated through the house. The T.V. was left to ramble, the news, talking about statistics and politics. It wasn’t being heard though. He sat in the hard wooden chair in the dim kitchen, listening to the hum of the fridge and watched the clock pass the time that was no longer relevant.
