"The role of a writer is not to say what we all can say, but what we are unable to say." - Anais Nin

we speak in hushed voices so as to not wake our memories

It was a chilly. I stood still in the night and let darkness elope me. I could feel the tears roll down my cheek. I tried to run but my muscles had frozen. I could hear the distant cries of elation as I saw the night sky brighten up with what seemed like hope. Happy New Year,I thought. The fireworks cracked my solitude but they couldn't seep through enough to let my sorrow disseminate. I have never been so embarrassed before, never been so lost. As I walk down the lonely path I feel the cool breeze blow through my hair,I wipe remnants of my tears away. I had to go home but all I wanted was to run away. Something like lightning appeared into my eyes,I think it was speeding car. I went into haze.

I opened my eyes. It felt like I had been hypnotized for years. My mother was staring down at me. I blinked, trying to make sense of things. I stressed my eyes,my head gave a cry of protest, and I went into oblivion once again.

Its the starting of my novel. Trying to build a story out of it. Sometimes just a small idea hits you and then you go blank. :/
