24: Live Another Day
If you watched the Super Bowl this past Sunday, you may have noticed a couple of short clips right before returning from a commercial. This includes a hand cocking a pistol, burning wreckage, and an explosion. To a casual watcher, the ads seemed pretty peculiar, but to fans of the 24 series, the clips were a promising sight.
24 is a show following Jack Bauer, who is an agent for the government agency called CTU. Each season follows just one day of Jack’s life, and all events occur in real time. Usually following a major terrorist threat, Jack does his best to save the day, no matter what, or whom, he has to sacrifice.
The ads aired during the Super Bowl showed 24, which hasn’t been on air for 4 years, is finally coming back this year. Starting on May 5th, a new 24 mini-series, titled “24: Live Another Day.” Instead of a full 24 episodes in the season, “24: Live Another Day” will feature 12 episodes, which means 12 hours, of Jack’s day in London.
If you have never watched the 24 series, I implore you to start watching now. The non-stop action is captivating to watchers and makes it easy to power through the series before May. I cannot suggest the series enough, and hope you will tune in May 5th on Fox for some serious Jack Bauer butt-kicking.
