The Outsiders
The Outsiders Is a very dynamic and controversial book. It starts out with a group of 8 boys in oklahoma that are in a gang that call themselves the Greasers, Their rivas are the Socs (Socials) they are rich upper class kids that dominate other people. The greasers are very poor and they are self sufficient, unlike the greasers the Socs are spoiled little brats. Why I say this book is controversial is because the Socs and the Greasers fight alot… they but heads constaly. They have a relationship like 2 rival gangs always at each others neck. Towards the end, one of the greasers(Johnny) stabs one of the Socs (Bob) because they were trying to drown his friend. In the end they make and realize they are all human and equal.
