Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrad
Unbroken
Laura Hillenbrad
A great telling of a great story.
5/5
Could you survive what Louis went through? Would you want to?
Louis was a bit of a trouble maker as a kid, but as he got older he channeled his energy into running. In ’36 he competed in the Olympics as world war 2 was about to begin. When the war began he was drafted to the Air Force as a member of a bomber crew. Everything went fine until one search and rescue mission. Battling thirst and starvation, he was lost at sea for nearly a month. When he finally was captured, he was bone thin. Once he arrived at the first camp, things began going downhill.
Laura Hillenbrad’s writing style make you feel like you are actually there with Louis through his unlucky adventure. This is one of the best books I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading, and I want to read her other books because of it.
I hope that everyone reading this review reads Unbroken as well as it is one of the most amazing, inspiring, and emotional books you will read.
