If you want a book with action and adventure, then this book is for you! Can you imagine being in a single engine plane and your pilot has a sudden heart attack? That is exactly what happens in this book. This book will put you through the thrilling adventure of a teenage boy named Brian and his fight for survival in the Canadian wilderness.
The Canadian wilderness! Brian's plane lands in the middle of a giant forest and there is not a soul within maybe 500 miles. This story tells you how Brian survives and adapts to the Dangerous, rouged terrain of the Canadian forests. In the story Brian discovers hazardous animals, fierce weather and many other challenges. If you are up to a adventures, spine tingling read then this is the book for you.
The Hatchet Has received many awards including the Newberry honor winner in 1988. The book is written by Gary Paulsen who is a amazing other who loves the outdoors and has written many other fantastic novels. If I were to rate this book from one to ten I would diffidently give it a ten. It is my favorite book and I recommend it to all boys and girls.
