The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
The Night Circus is by far the most well constructed novel I have ever read. Erin Morgenstern is a complete and utter genius. She was able to string the book together with a variety of time periods without ever confusing the reader. This novel is not only filled with a forbidden love, but overflows with magic as well. The two main characters, Celia and Marco, are so-called "magicians". The magicians spend the majority of the novel attempting to one up the other with volumtious illusions in the circus. The Night Circus is a book I will read over and over again.
