Wings of Fire: The Dark Secret by Tui. T. Suitherland
The book, Wings of Fire; The Dark Secret, was thrilling and enjoyable. Written by the brilliant Tui. T. Suitherland, this fourth book in the Wings of Fire saga was not a disappoint. Suitherland’s character development, plot twists, and details are quite the eye catchers. Our young protagonist, Starflight, is snatched away by the Nightwings, a horrible dragon tribe, and taken to their home island. Their island is a volcano. You can obviously see the problems there. With horrid conditions and horrid dragons, Starflight is forced to stay in the corner and quiver, or stand his ground and find a way back to his friends. This plot takes your hand and throws you into a different world. Fast paced and captivating, this book will not disappoint. Suitherland’s take on this fantastical world of dragons seems impossible to connect to…and yet you may just be surprised.
