Favorite Quote:
For, I could not love thee, Dear, so much,
Loved I not honour more.
-- Richard Lovelace, quoted often by Baroness Emmuska Orczy in The Scarlet Pimpernel

Allegiant is a very powerful book. It pushes limits, breaks hearts and always, always makes you think. It is much more complex than most young adult novels in its challenges of what is logical versus what is right. The characters are infinitely human, neither heroes nor villains, at least not fully.

Tobias reveals vulnerabilities I never would have guessed he had, and yet, they were completely believable and right for his personality and past. I loved that half of the novel was told from his point of view; the darkness and desperation he fights against were so intense it hurt my heart.

Tris' side is less complicated and she doesn't change as much as Four, but her coming to terms with her family, living and dead, strengthened her character in subtle but significant ways. She gains a deeper understanding of things, which in turn gives the reader a deeper understanding of the characters and their motivations.

While I loved so many things in this book, the writing didn't really pop as much as the previous novels, at least not for me and not in the beginning. At first it felt like a lot of exposition as a hundred new things had to be explained all at once. This might have been necessary, but it was also kind of awkward. Towards the middle it gained more intensity and the pace picked up, and by the end I was on the edge of my seat. Crying.

The end was perfect. Heroic and sad and beautiful and unexpected and so very, very brave. Not just on the characters' parts, but on the author's as well. She took a unique path that, upon the arrival of the last page, made the whole trilogy fall perfectly into place. It was an ending that left me recalling earlier scenes with an 'Oh' of revelation that it was all leading to this.

This novel is a worthy addition to any bookshelf.

The book I read was Allegiant, the last book in the Divergent series. The book was definitely one that I would recommend, however I would have to rate the internal consistency a 3, it could have been better. I have loved both Divergent and Insurgent and was ready for the last book to be the best, tie everything together and keep with the story. The Internal Consistency though couldn’t come up to par with the other two books. There were many things that they added in and didn’t finish explaining and there was a lot of ends that needed to be tied up from the previous book that was not. The story was good like the first and second book but there wasn’t Consistency in comparison to the other two books. On the other hand I would rate Clarity in this book a 5. The book was very well written as were the other too and very easy to follow along with. There wasn’t any words that were hard to understand and the sentences always flowed. There was a clear image in my head throughout the entire story. There was always a cliff hanger at the end of the chapters to make me keep wanting to read. You must read the other two books to understand what is happening in this book. There are many things in this book that are continued from the other books. Over all the story was very clear and easy to understand and I would definitely recommend it to someone else who loves the Divergent series as much as I do.

Allegiant by Veronica Roth is an amazing book! The book helps you to know or to feel that people should have the right to think and act for themselves!  I believe that anyone that likes love, action and hardship should read this book. Veronica Roth is helping people realize that the world isn’t perfect and neither are love stories.
My book is the third in the Divergent series.  The author wrote this book in third person instead of in first like the first two books. This book is great to kind of train your brain into switching back and forth between two people points of views.
This book is written extravagantly well. There are so many moments that you just have to stop and say "oh my I didn’t think that would happen". The author made the characters seem extremely strong. This book has so much emotion it’s unbelievable there is love, hatred, longing, and jealously.  This book is written so that we can see some of Tobias’s mind and I absolutely love that. I have to physically force myself to stop reading. There are a lot of arguments. The ending made me extremely mad, but we knew that someone important would have to go eventually.
This book is great! Anyone who is old enough to read something with this content should! This book makes people or me think about the world and what it could turn into!
