Bud, Not Buddy
This book creates great suspense as you read farther into the book. As you read, you will notice that Bud is on a journey, and as he’s on his journey he runs into some troubles. You’ll meet all his friends and main characters of the book; Bud, Herman E. Calloway, and Momma. As he travels through Michigan, witness his troubles as he deals with child abuse, homelessness, racism and being parentless. The author Christopher Paul Curtis takes you on a journey with his best selling book, Bud, Not Buddy.
As I read this book, I realized that he really pulls you into the book with all the suspense he puts into every word. I felt like I was actually living the life of Bud. I would recommend this book to any age of students, just because it is such a great book. No matter what type of books you prefer, you will love this book. I guarantee it.
