Bud Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis
In the novel, Bud not Buddy, written by Christopher Paul Curtis, Bud grows up in Michigan. It is roughly 235 pages. Bud escapes from his foster home on the hunt to find his dad. He meets Lefty Lewis and tricks his into driving him to meet his dad. After staying at Lefty’s house, he takes him to meet Hermon E. Calloway. Trying to convince him of him being his dad, but he just will not listen. Bud not Buddy is a book of question, hope, and surprise.
Bud not buddy is a book that confuses you, but them somehow figures its way out. It is tremendously funny and will make you laugh out loud. It will also surprise you and will make you want to strive and finish the book.
