There are mysteries in the world we are not meant to solve. But who we are, and why we are here are not among them. Those we carry inside.

Kirby Matheson, a known, popular classmate to hundreds of students at Middleborough High School, did not seem like a bad person, “But beneath his gentle exterior lay a monster who dared open fire upon his classmates” This book was written by 17 authors, who all represented one person with a unique experience and point of view. Each tells a different story about the school shooting from their despicable classmate, friend, or boyfriend. No one is the main character, since they all had their own, important story to tell and side to reveal. Each 17 characters had a secret to hide that could’ve changed this whole book sideways. This book will make you more conscious of your perspective on others, and give you knowledge about what people around you could be going through. Violent Ends is a conscious book that inspires you to think about other's perspectives about you or others.

Violent Ends is a conscious book that awakes you to see your surroundings with multiple perspectives that can help you understand others. I think about different perspectives in my head to help me understand what others could think about me. What I could do to improve myself and others. The point of this book is to make you relate to one of the 17 characters, and perhaps change yourself for the better. Since it gives you what many different students could think about something, and put you in their shoes to feel what it’s like being different. Sometimes you don’t know what your best play is, well this book helps you with that. It is for you to experience problems you never thought of before, and gives you a heads-up to become independent in many situations.

All 17 characters, girl or boy, popular or unknown, liked or disliked, one who fits in or does not know how to. They all share an important story about themselves with different characteristics and personalities. After only reading about half of this book, I can make more accurate predictions about what the people around me go through, or think about something. This book can change who you are. I’ve struggled with others in important moments and did not know what to do. I thought all was lost for me, since I only thought about myself, and not what I could do to make others happy and like me. It only took me to read half of this book to have multiple options to improve myself. It could have been essential for people in this world to read this book, just to have a clue what other people can think about you.

I recommend this book to all people who consider themselves invalid in any way to others. It can help you be more open-minded to not just yourself, but others. For example, most of us have gone through something tough, and regret not thinking about what our friends and family’s perspective was about it since it could’ve helped us. This book is about different perspectives and opinions on you or others.

This would apply more effectively to the teenage audience.
