Eternal Souls
Thou can’t compare to the eternal blue.
The Ocean’s glory, thou cannot surpass.
She brings peace for the sailors’ troubled crew;
Thy character, cantankerous as glass.
In all her might, she yields her soldiers sword,
Yet thou are puny, trifling to her build.
To all her splendor, eyes will turn toward,
yet thou, a seamstress, no one will be thrilled.
But as the ocean, thou are filled with care;
thy soul is art, thy light shall never fade.
The ocean stays, as thy love in the air;
Eternity, before thy grave is made.
In my mind, thou will run incessantly;
Thy soul and love have immortality.
