“Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all.”
-Tennyson

Her eyes shimmer in the night
beauty so true and divine
Angels adore her lushus hair
but certain darkness seems to fair
Everyone envy's her
Yet she does not know
For her path is unknown
Her life is a mist but I am the flame
Flowing along the currents of time
Yet she does not know who I am

I am a down and thought that putting my feelings on paper would help. I hope people enjoy it.... Also I am not sure if this would be a sonnet....

Your poem is going well and has great potential! I would recommend going back though and checking spelling, a few words I found were lushus-lucious, to-too, envy's-envies; not that this affects the beauty of the poem, but this would be more free verse than sonnet. Sonnets are 10 syllables per line, follow iambic pentameter (in the more professional poems), have 3 stanzas, one couplet, and follow the rhyme scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GG. Keep writing, you have talent!
