Demons
Countless and sleepless nights in her bed room
Outside, her parents screaming at each other
The overbearing darkness seems to loom
Her tear-stained pillow waiting to smother
The monotone voice wants to be her muse
She covers her ears and blocks out the hush
Suddenly the endless darkness will abuse
The darkness will lean forward and crush
Her cries are silenced by her scream
Glass shatters and falls to the hard wood floor
Her dark and lonely Hell is not a dream
She does not want to live any more
It’s time to let go says her demon
She takes his hand and accepts her freedom
