ZZzzzzzz...
Oh sleep where have you been throughout the week?
My body craves her bed for its embrace
For everyday I work til I am weak
Fatigue has aged the wrinkles on thy face
But hour after hour have I toiled
My mind shuts down and hands begin to shake
I drag my deadpanned feet across the soil
I try to do as much as I can take
And when the sun goes down I can expire
I'm snug under the blankets on my head
If nothing more, it's sleep I must acquire
My body numbs and sinks as if it's led
I close my eyes, and dreams begin to form
Then drifts to sleep on pillows soft and warm
