The Valley of God
This is a place for all to see
This is the place for you to be
A place of wonder
A place of woe
A place that some animals
Call their home
This is a valley created by God
The devil himself tried to destroy
The trees were all left behind
The houses burned by none other than him
The leaves dried no life left in them
He tried but surely failed
But humans came back only to applaud
This is a valley created by God
The birds they all sing a soft lullaby
While a man and his wife wash away time
The sounds and the sights are all very clear
Even the cemetery a place full of sorrow
Is in a spectacular spot we call Fox Hollow
This spot a nice place not ever flawed
This is a valley created by God
The men that once lived here fallen like trees
Never forgotten
still heard in the breeze
The ferns and the shrubs coat the dark ground
Until the time summer comes back around
Shenandoah National Park
A place of fun and a place of awe
This is a place created by all
