trust i'll be there when you fall
There was time at the beginning, before I could see
Where you would be with words undeserved of me
Forever my pillar of strength, with a patient hand
And a fierce supportiveness I didn’t understand
And everywhere I looked, you met me halfway
Obligatory love, that at times I pushed away
I wasn’t one for gratitude, but it didn’t seem you minded
A foolish, spoiled, child, ignorant and blinded
You are all the knots I’ve tied, the ends of all my being
The blur between my lines, the edges of my seeing
All of your words, I hold in my heart true
And always, in the end, I’ll fall right back to you

You are the foundation I was built upon, the end line of every journey I've been on.
You gave me 15 years, and I hope one day I can give them back to you.
You have my eternal gratitude and everything after.
This is for you, mom.
