"To these the past hath its phantoms,
More real than solid earth;
And to these death does not mean decay,
But only another birth"
- Isabella Banks

She sits with corset on her

tongue,
She changes daily, such a young,
One.

She’s
Beat across the world
A penny pincher trailing with her

A case of sweet nostalgia is running through
her veins.

It’s a sad dream
Morose as it could be,
Like a
cloud scene
Pushing across a page
To hide her leaden heart,
A short run across the park,

And you’ll see.
Oh, you’ll see.
Her face subdued in hues of blue and
Green.

Will you save her?
She cries your name at night.
But can you save her?
You’re the only who knows what’s right,
And wrong.
But you’re thousands of miles across the country,
Tennesse so far away,
Why did you go,
Why won’t you
Stay?

She sits with a corset tied across her
Lungs.

Sad scene,
One that breaks the ladder’s rungs.

There’s a bruise
In the picture that she sent you
With a smile
so
ungodly
bright.

It’s from a fist that you can’t hide
Beneath makeup and
Pride.
