The Mighty Pen
He was always there.
Some just bare; some might share,
Others just try to snare.
He is the mighty Pen,
With all of us since we were ten.
When she wrote her notes,
Demanded what belonged to her,
He was always there.
When she absconded,
Had nothing and was nowhere,
He would just stare.
When she picked herself up
And fought with flare,
He wouldn’t even care.
Then she disappeared.
There wasn’t a single drop of tear.
Everyone cheered.
He realized – he was never there.
