Seasonal Romance
I want a spring love
running through fields, arms around waists
smoothies and fruit salads
picking flowers and braiding them in hair
spinning and dancing in the moonlight
I want a summer love
sitting on the sand, kissing cheeks
milkshakes and ice cream sundaes
splashing each other in the pool
piggy-backing down dirt paths
I want an autumn love
holding hands through sweater holes
lattes and hot tea
jumping in leaf piles
walking through puddled streets
I want a winter love
falling snowflakes as we kiss each other
hot chocolate and coffee in the morning
throwing snowballs at one another
striding down main avenue, lights in the shops next to us
But most of all
I want a love that’s year round
life long
and with you
