Homesick Blues
Packin my bags and movin down the road I've laid
Been a while now that I've outgrown my stay
Lookin back on all these different things that I've said
Why bother to make your bed when you know you don't got it made?
Got sick of the boredom, envy and other unhappy feats
Got so sick of empty dreams and the same daily scene
The day in, day out, 24/7 never seems to end
Until I realized that I was leaving behind much more than just my friends.
You can travel a million miles in a veiled disguise
But never forget the view you once left behind
The person you were now may be different in everyones eyes
But don't you look back on where you came from all this time
It doesn't take a long time to remember who you once were
Sometimes you miss your hometown and people you love I'm sure
But don't you know that they remain inside you, sometimes there ain't no cure
So go out and face it all, everything the world
You can travel a million miles in a veiled disguise
But never forget the view you once left behind
The person you were now may be different in everyones eyes
But don't you look back on where you came from all this time
