Heart of Stone
I don't want anymore attention,
I've got it to the core.
All I want is a heart,
Maybe even yours?
Now I don't want to be here.
I'd rather be alone.
If that's my only option,
For my heart of stone.
I tell myself the lies,
That silly voice of mine.
Everything is bad.
It won't get better with time.
They tell me it's ok.
Days will get better.
Am I depressed,
Or just under the weather?
I ask myself these questions,
Without getting replies.
Maybe it's time to develop,
And open my eyes.
Now is my heart broken,
Or just made of stone?
Can you please replace it?
Maybe with your own?

I submitted this piece because I personally felt like it was one of my strongest in term of poems. I just hope that you think it was well written too. It took a lot of thought to write this poem and hopefully it shows aswell.
