Thunder Snow

Oh the falling snow
collects so beautifully
it comes floating down so gently at night

and surrounding each flake of snow
a ring of eternal glow
and as one falls onto my hand
it melts slowly in my warmth

can you tell me how many years have flown
since my heart had been left out in the cold?

and as time passes by
I realize
that I must move on from here
into the light…of a new day

well it’s a feeling like…I had just closed my eyes…and opened them
and then I saw…a life different from what it had been
A world going around and round…but then the axil reverses sound
and the past vibrates back…just like lighting connects
in thunder snow

I cannot forget
No, I’l never, ever forget
the advancing time slipping through my hourglass

and even though I may have regrets
Really what can one expect?
Maybe that’s why I’m now  knee-high
in this numbing, cold snow

God only knows the life planned out for me
I place my trust in You who controls my destiny

and as the years slip by
I do not cry
from the shocks I get here and there
when I remember…the past days

cause I cannot understand…how much remaining sand…I have left
All I know…is I want to strive to do my best
The arrow of my next…is balanced and aimed from my bow
and the string vibrates back…just like lightning connects…
in thunder…snow

well it’s a feeling like…I had just closed my eyes…and opened them
and then I saw…a life different from what it had been
A world going around and round…but then the axil reverses sound
and the past vibrates back…just like lighting connects
in thunder snow

The poem is about how the process of moving forward from a past event feels. However, every now and then one would get ashock from the past...kind of like lightning.
