My Life, My Words MAG
Now sit down
Take a seat
Listen up
Here's the beat
And before you walk out
Clap your hands
Stomp those feet
I'mma tell you a tale
That I'm knowin'
Quite well
And if you don't listen
I'll send it
In the mail
There once was a young kid
Was raised in East Harlem
Never ran with pitbulls
No barkin', no snarlin'
Yeah she, was a good one
An ol' straight A student
Respectful and helpful and friendly
and prudent
At least that's the way
That it seemed on the surface
See ev-ryone thought
That this one girl
Was perfect
But little
Did they know
That that
Was far from true
'Cause this little princess
Was no goody-two-shoes
Behind all of that pride
Was pain on the inside
But she couldn't show it
Found it, better
To hide
Behind a facade-uh
But no prima donna
She lets it all go
And then tries to walk on-uh
Her life ain't no castle
Sometimes it's a hassle
But she, will not stop
Until she, wins the battle
This girl, is a fighter
Will not, pay the piper
'Cause she's got the Great One
Who fights, right beside her
Well, now, that's it
Time is up
Time to quit
'Cause my words are done bleedin'
I'm out
Thanks for readin'
