The Dancer
Watch as dancer picks her way across the floor
Watch as she breathes in
and destroys everything behind her
and the page turns red
like a blood-bound book
and the flame, she dances
around and around and around
Don't look away
Don't turn around
You might just miss
the world burning to the ground
She glides across paper
She leaps into the air
Flying and burning through the assumptions
That they made
At the point of breaking,
She is there
Making you weaker
and blowing the ashes
to put you to sleep
and wrap you with light and warmth
