Same Game
That night flowed
In such a way
That I gave up
Staying away
At the sideline party
Far from her goal
Put our dispute
In a bottle and bowl
The next day
We both woke up confused
Our friendship survived
But a little bit bruised
Stalling the question
Will get me no where
She’s trying to help
I’m trying to care
And it goes on
Keep it steady til she’s gone
We stay the same
Only thing to blame
It’s not a case
Of it hitting the fan
It’s what can you take
And what can you stand
The deeper waters
Scare her to death
And the suffocation
Is taking my breath
I don’t know where
The storm is today
Are we in the eye
Or has it gone away
There’s only so much
That we can both bend
Just lay next to me
And we’ll try to pretend
And it goes on
Keep it steady til she’s gone
We stay the same
Only thing to blame
Making grey out of
White and black
We’ve got so much love
But there’s something we lack
We’ve go two different
Songs in our heart
But I won’t let the melody
tear us apart
And it goes on
Keep it steady til she’s gone
Holding on our rope
A foundation made of hope
