Our Time
Verse 1: We started out in summer/but now it’s spring and we’re falling apart/we haven’t even made a full cycle/we’ve got another false start/I try to stretch myself out to reach you/but I’m not quite there/
We may have gotten derailed/but I’m holding on/hugging the edge of the rails/because/
Chorus: It’s spring and you still make me smile/I laugh like I did last summer/I hold our future in my hands/I think it’ll be great/but if this is our end/this beautiful spring/then that would be okay/because I will always love you/
Verse 2: If only we could make a full cycle/til it’s summer/when we were both born/and where we started out/where it all began/it’d be wonderful/but let’s not dwell only on what can be/but what’s here now/because…
Chorus: It’s spring and you still make me smile/I laugh like I did last summer/I hold our future in my hands/I think it’ll be great/but if this is our end/this beautiful spring/then that would be okay/because I will always love you/
Verse 3: I can’t find the right words/what’s happening here, is lost on me/the words escape me/the words to tell you/how much you mean to me, and how to tell you I need you/here with me for as long as is possible/you say you’re different around me, a better person/and as long as you’re lying with me/you’ll be all right/and I’m all right because I believe you because that’s how I feel, but two times stronger/
(Instrumental break)
Chorus: It’s spring and you still make me smile/I laugh like I did last summer/I hold our future in my hands/I think it’ll be great/but if this is our end/this beautiful spring/then that would be okay/because I will always love you/
