Teach your children by example
Show them how to resist temptation
And not to let the world trample them or drag them by their condemnation

Turn knowledge known into knowledge shown
Walk with them and show them the way
For some day they will be on their own
And when they are they will never stray

Show your kids how to act
Don’t just tell them how to do
Don’t just give them all the facts
Their greatest hope is you

Show them how to block out evil
And never to partake
To keep their minds from becoming ill
And to always stay awake

I hope my warning will be ample
A message that will show
That if you fail to teach your children by example
Truly blind they will go
