A cat for lunch.
Same old spaghetti, in a pot of clay,
Came all day everyday without delay.
'Mother,Oh Mother!' alteration is must,
Yelled Rosa the daughter with lust.
'Oh mighty God of spices' fill me,
with recipes of rats and mices.
Incredulous, as it was, the God smiled
and said ' go for cats oh so wild '.
Under the trash cans, beneath the sewers,
Mother even went to Thailand if it took to find those whiskers.
Onerous as the task was, she found one though,
named him Ross before could make her dough.
'It's enough' the fussy progeny cried,
'almost there' the stern progenitor replied.
Engulfed in gravy, embellished with peas,
Came the cat whom Rosa devoured with ease.
Bartonellosis, the cat possessed,
And the family now weeps in regret of the vice that cursed.
