An Ode to Relativity
In physics class one day,
You'd come and sweep me away.
"Space and time
Are all just fine,
But light's the real deal," you'd say.
I still have never quite gotten
(In fact, by now I've forgotten)
Why spacetime changes
As light rearranges,
And everyone else says you're rotten.
I did find it slightly confusing,
And perhaps a little amusing,
That trains going fast
Can go right on past
A closed door and just keep on cruising.
Still, you are cause for festivity,
Since you lack a certain simplicity,
You confuse everyone,
But man, are you fun,
Bewildering, weird relativity!
