There once was a cat named Jack
Whose fur was all shades of black
He purred and he played
All throught the day
Leaving footprints on a messy deck
With grace, he jumped over the fence
Chasing squirrels with intense suspense
His whiskers would twitch
In a strategic hitch
As he plotted how to commence
His eyes glowed like bright emerald jewels
Mesmerizing all with their magical rules
He napped by the fire
His desires never tire
In the presence of humans, he’s cool
The mischievous cat roams the night
A silent hunter, hidden from sight
He pounces on prey
In a stealthy display
