They Won't Forget
We have all felt forgotten
Old and rotten
Tossed aside like
An unused
Coffin
A corpse walking
You are just a zombie
Only broken ties
Forgotten
Not a real person in their eyes
A hologram
Just another unused plan
They go right through you
Left like footprints in the sand
The weight of the world is holding you down
Feet stuck in the ground
Their words keeping you
Trapped in your comfort zone
Never taking risks
Your like a red-headed finch
Your not part of the team
They say you’d be best on the bench
Left there to lynch
Your own emotions
Free falling over the ocean
Toes out touching the water but
You just can’t break free
Of their words and of your own demons
You can feel em but still can seal em
Away, so maybe It be best to just stay
Alone
Forgotten
But god damn it!
No matter how much they passed you by
While you were in disguise
Heads up in the sky
Just remember you can just pick up
Someone of their kind
For 6.99 at a local
Gas station
Fast-facing
Through the trivial trials
Live throws your way
Like it's another snapchat
That’ll be gone one day
But not everything we do
Will just be handed to us
Sometimes you have to look up
And do work, you can't be languorous
While the others will be out there
Chasing hollow dreams
Your making sure your legacy’s
Left in a mausoleum
Cause like a king, they cant stop you
While you rise to the top
And when they ask for reparation
They can go to the ledge and drop
Off
Towards the bottom
Where they once left you
You are your own legend
And they won’t forget what you’ll do
