I See Parents Working Based on: “I Hear America Singing” Walt Whitman
I see parents working, through the days and nights,
Slaving away for their children who don’t always see their good.
The cooking and baking sweet treats for us children to snack on.
The cheering us up they do to get us through our rough days--
by showing us the good ones.
The smiles they put on our faces, after a rough day at school.
The bathing of their little ones, taking care of their every need.
Helping us grow up into the great parents we soon will be.
The hard work they do for their families,
So we can soon pass on the kindness they showed to us.
