If Stressed, Please Read.
Frustration, anxiety, anger, hate
Can't breathe, can't think
Somehow, I'm supposed to study
Really?
And I know it's not just me
It's all of us
We all feel like crying
Like we're an inch from breaking down
And then if we do, all we can think about
Is how much time we're wasting
And how many days or hours left
Until the next mathsciencefrenchwhoevencares test
Or maybe we feel like screaming, yelling
Swearing out loud, not just in our heads
Like saying "Hey! Guess what? I can't f-ing handle this!"
And could we? Sure
But what good would that be?
Who would care?
So, instead, stop. Just for a minute.
Sit. Breathe in, out, in. Listen.
Find one thing you can hear that calms you.
The wind whistling through the trees outside
Your heartbeat, your pulse, reminding you that youre alive
Rain drops tapping on the window pane
Cars rushing by on wet pavement
The heater purring
Find one thing that comforts you
Focus on it. Take it in.
Clear your head. And start again.

Because I can't be the only one trying to make it through midterms and finals this week.
