Stroll on the Beach
Walking alone along the shore,
Turquoise waves swish across my feet
The warm summer breeze blows my hair
And I taste the salt spray on my tongue
The wet sand slips beneath my feet
The waves cool against my skin
The waves swoosh and hum
As they crash against the rocks
Where the water slides across the beach
New rocks and shells replace the old
While further up,
The dry sand has a bright, golden tone
I look behind at how
The rhythmic waves of the ocean
Removes the evidence of my stroll
While in front of me,
The swollen orange evening sun
Slowly sinks beneath the sparkling waves
